Anastasia Gorbenko is keeping Israeli Olympic dreams afloat in Paris, securing a spot in the women's 100m breaststroke semifinal with a splash. The talented swimmer touched the wall seventh overall in the heats, proving she's not just treading water in this fierce competition.

Gorbenko will be diving back in this evening for the semifinal, aiming to book her ticket to tomorrow's final. The same day, she'll also be tackling the grueling 400m individual medley.

Meanwhile, Leah Polonsky's Olympic journey hit choppy waters as she finished 19th in the women's 200m freestyle, missing the semifinal cut. In the men's lane, Adam Maraana's backstroke efforts weren't enough to propel him forward, as he touched in at 28th place in the 100m event.
