The Israeli athletes to carry the country's flag in the Paris Olympics
"Superior athletes": these are the two flag bearers chosen from the Israeli delegation at the Paris 2024 Games, according to channel 14 news reports.


The Olympic Committee announced that the flag of the Israeli delegation will be carried by the judo champion Peter Palchik and by his side the swimmer Andi Murez.
Preparations for the Olympic Games continue: the Olympic Committee announced today (Wednesday) that the flag of the Israeli delegation will be carried by the award-winning judo athlete along with the successful swimmers: Peter Paltchik and Andy Murez.
The committee's announcement stated: "Andrea (Andy) Murez and Peter Paltchik are two exemplary Olympic athletes who will carry the Israeli flag at the opening ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games which will be held on July 26, 2024 on the Seine River."
The judoka Peter Paltchik, born in Ukraine, won a bronze medal from the World Championships (2023), European champion (2020) in weight up to 100 kg, and also won an Olympic bronze medal (Tokyo 2020) as part of the Israeli team in the mixed team category.
Andrea (Andy) Murez is an Israeli-American swimmer, Israeli champion and record holder in the 50-meter, 100-meter, 200-meter, and 400-meter freestyle relays, and has 18 medals from Maccabiah, of which 13 are gold. Also, she is the first Israeli swimmer who swam the 200 meter freestyle in less than 2 minutes, and the first Israeli athlete to achieve the criterion for the Rio de Janeiro Olympics (2016).
These athletes resemble Israel's strength and great achievements during such hard times, and represent Israel moving forward as a nation in all aspects, including the sporting world.
