Colombia is a crime-ridden country, and we have previously reported on the murder of a national team player in the 1990s. Today, crime has once again affected football, as it was reported that the parents of the team's star, Luis Diaz, were kidnapped. The two were on their way home when they were abducted by a criminal gang demanding a ransom of millions from their son, who plays in the top football league in the world.

In the hours that have passed since the kidnapping, the police managed to rescue Luis Diaz's mother, and the search for his father is ongoing. According to reports in the country, the president of the country is also involved in the search for the father. There were concerns that criminal organizations would exploit the player's status to harm his parents, who were warned but decided not to leave their home.

Liverpool has recently made headlines after refusing to display a banner in memory of four of the team's fans who were killed in the Hamas terrorist attack during Simchat Torah. The club apologized to the fans, stating that they followed the Premier League's directive not to display flags related to the war. Other Premier League clubs, except for Crystal Palace, did not criticize the massacre. In the Fantasy League of the league and in Chelsea's merchandise store, the use of the word "Israel" was also banned.

There were also some bright spots, like Crystal Palace, which strongly condemned the terrible Hamas terrorist attack. Tottenham Hotspur fans, despite their club's prohibition, displayed Israeli flags at the matches. Additionally, Arsenal's Ukrainian player, Oleksandr Zinchenko, published a post expressing support for Israel. Conversely, his teammate, Mohamed Elneny, expressed support for the terrorist organization.
