After securing a vote allowing him to replace current Shin Bet chief Ronen Bar, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is wasting no time. Today, he's interviewing four candidates to take the reins of Israel’s internal security service.

The list includes former deputy chiefs known only as “M.” and “R.”, with speculation that “R” is Yair “Rolly” Sagi. Also in the running: Shalom Ben-Hanan and Eyal Tsir Cohen, a former Mossad division leader fluent in six languages who helped broker hostage deals. Cohen is expected to be interviewed upon returning from abroad.

Israel Launches Pilot Program to Relocate Gazans to Indonesia

A pilot program allowing 100 Gazans to voluntarily relocate to Indonesia for construction work is underway. If successful, the plan could scale to thousands more, offering an escape for civilians from the grip of Hamas rule.

Indonesia, the world’s largest Muslim-majority country, is seen as a favorable destination. The initiative, backed by Israel’s Defense Minister israel Katz, may fall under a broader migration framework if deemed effective.

Since the war began, more than 35,000 Gazans have left the Strip. The new plan allows return to Israel, but the long-term goal is resettlement abroad.

Argentina to Declassify Nazi Escape Documents

In a historic move, Argentine President Javier Milei has ordered the full declassification of documents related to Nazi fugitives who fled to Argentina after World War II.

The files will reportedly include banking records, military intelligence, and government correspondence, potentially shedding light on how notorious war criminals like Adolf Eichmann and Josef Mengele evaded justice for decades.

The announcement fulfills a campaign promise and could reveal a chilling web of post-war protection networks in South America.

Israeli Soldier Dies After Krav Maga Training

Tragedy struck Israel’s military overnight as 19-year-old Sgt. Yosef Haim Tzvi Serlin, a Jerusalem native serving in Unit 504 of Military Intelligence, died after a Krav Maga training session in northern Israel.

Serlin collapsed following the session. Emergency responders attempted to revive him, but he was pronounced dead. Military Police have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the incident.

Nova Massacre Probe Set for Release, Bibi Calls Hostage's Mother

Next week, the IDF will begin private briefings for families affected by the Nova festival massacre on October 7. Brig. Gen. Ido Mizrahi will present findings to over 340 families of murdered civilians, alongside families of fallen off-duty soldiers, police, and security officers.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Netanyahu called Ruhama Bohbot, whose son Elkana is still held hostage in Gaza. The call came after she publicly criticized the government for ignoring her family. Her son appeared in a new Hamas propaganda video, voicing feelings of abandonment.

The outreach marks a rare direct response by Bibi, driven largely by growing public and media pressure.

Ohio Man Kills Uber Driver Over Scam Call Confusion

In a disturbing case in the U.S., 81-year-old William Brock from Ohio fatally shot Uber driver Lo-Letha Hall, 61, outside his home.

Brock reportedly believed she was part of a phone scam after receiving a fraudulent call earlier that day. When Hall arrived to deliver a package, he shot her and then called the police to report it.

He now faces murder charges, as authorities confirm Hall had no connection to any scam.

A Quiet Day? Yemen Missile Fails, Gaza Rockets Cause No Injuries

While not headline-shaking, regional tensions remain high. Yemen fired a missile toward Israel overnight, but it landed in Saudi Arabia without damage. A few rockets from Gaza hit border-adjacent areas but caused no major injuries.

The big story to watch remains the transition at the Shin Bet and the results of the Nova massacre investigation, which could reignite political turmoil.

59 Hostages Remain in Gaza

As always, 59 hostages are still held by Hamas. Their safe return remains a unifying prayer across Israeli society.
