Haaretz is a rag

Why everyone I know despises Haaretz

Sure, they write well. They also hate Israel as much as any Hamas member. They should have been shut down years ago.

Haaretz

Why does Haaretz not just close its doors and merge with Al Jazeera?

Day after day, week after week, they spew toxic nonsense about Israel, stoking the flames of antisemitism which are already doing well enough without their generous 'help'.

Look what they wrote. If I hadn't read it with my own eyes, I wouldn't believe it was possible.

"There is no one in Gaza who hasn't lost someone close—a child, a sister, a spouse, a parent, a friend. Death touches everyone. Those who return to their homes sometimes find bones there, and you don't always know whose they are," says Asma, a 42-year-old resident of Khan Younis, describing the reality of life in the Strip after 17 months of war—which resumed last Tuesday after two months of a ceasefire.

The numbers are almost incomprehensible. With the renewal of fighting, the killing in the Strip resumed as well, and on Sunday, the Hamas Ministry of Health reported that the number of deaths since the war broke out on October 7, 2023, has surpassed 50,000. This is an almost unprecedented number relative to the duration of the war and the size of the population. While some of the dead are terrorists, most are not, and many of them are women and children—whose deaths Israel refers to as "collateral damage." The IDF stated that the military "works to minimize harm to innocent civilians" and claimed that Hamas's figures, which do not distinguish between armed fighters and uninvolved civilians, should not be relied upon. However, the military did not provide alternative figures, instead pointing to a general statement by outgoing Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi at the end of January, in which he said that "the IDF has eliminated close to 20,000 Hamas terrorists." On the other hand, independent international organizations have determined that the reports from Gaza are credible."

Here's who they don't care about: Me, you, our beautiful country and the 24 living hostages, brutally snatched from their homes and held in conditions too horrific to even think about.

These are the people who tug at their heartstrings: Palestinians, the same people who sang and laughed and danced as our brothers and sisters were raped, tortured and burned alive on October 7th.

They believe that they are part of the intelligentsia of the country, but this simple fact eludes them: They are Jewish, whether they like it or not. And if they were living in Germany in 1940, they would have been gassed along with the rest of us.

And don't you dare tell me to calm down.

Every single one of their writers are sheer evil. They are happy to incite the public and then say, "But it's not on us. It's Bibi. He did this to us. Woe is us." Cue their teeny tiny violin. Everything is Netanyahu's fault. Everything.

Now, I'm not saying he's perfect. Not even close. Nor am I saying he hasn't made mistakes. But to blame him for everything is just ridiculous. I'm sick of them. In fact, we all are. No self- respecting Jew should waste one cent on them. I don't care how well they write or how clever they claim to be. They are self-hating Jews with a megaphone. That doesn't mean we have to listen to what they have to say. That certainly doesn't mean they deserve one cent of our money.

To Amos Shocken I say, Take your rag and burn it. The day you learned to read and write was a sad day for all.

We understand the complex reality of urban warfare against a terrorist organization embedded within civilian populations. We understand pain and death and heartbreak and grief.

All you understand is the 'poor Palestinian' narrative that Pallywood peddles.

We see through your sensationalist storytelling AKA emotional manipulation. We aren't the monsters, we're a nation trying to live peacefully in our ancestral homeland, while our own supposed family members attack us for it.

And we are so, so bored of you.

Do us all a favor and resign or retire.
