Trump or Harris? It's so close it's scary

Why (most) JFeed writers want Trump to win today

Even the pollsters can't predict who is going to win in the US Presidential elections today– It's that tight.

It's been a long year for us at Jfeed. A year spent reporting war and death and devastation as the situation in the Middle East spirals rapidly out of control.

But today's elections are giving us hope that a new US president can finally bring us all some long-awaited and long deserved peace.

The Writers' Takes

Eliana Fleming:

I want Trump to win because I think America needs a strong leader now more than ever to make the hard decisions others are too weak to make. Trump, though his approach isn’t always the best, gets things done. He means what he says which is why enemy states are afraid of him, they know he means business.

In terms of Israel it’s a no brainer for me as Trump is clear where he stands and I know as a Jewish people we will be far better off with him in power than Kamala, which would be chaos. The last time he was in power we signed the Abraham records which was historic for the Middle East region and America. If Trump wins I have full trust he will see the enemy for who they are, terrorists, and deal with them accordingly whilst also taking further steps to achieve broader levels of peace in the Middle East, with Israel at the centre.

Gila Isaacson:

I believe that world leaders are quite honestly scared of Trump, and that it's in all of our favor that he sometimes comes across as willing to do anything. Not unhinged per se, but also not a beacon of calm. And that's why, when he was President, Russia didn't invade Ukraine, and Hamas didn't attack Israel, not to mention the Iranians, which just won't seem to stop.

The Middle East is extremely precarious, with tensions and hostilities spreading everywhere you look, from Syria to Iraq to Lebanon.

And when you think about it, the human suffering that we have endured (along with millions of others) is all because Biden was weak and demented and Harris was his VP. Together, they watched as our world burned.

Trump might not be perfect, but with him as President, the world will shine brightly again.

Avi Nachmani:

As an American citizen, I think only Trump can repair the serious damage the Biden administration has caused to the US.

Trump has promised to stop illegal immigration from Mexico and to deport the estimated 15 millions that have entered under Biden. He would put an end to the woke indoctrination currently widespread in the education system; he would once again make the US a world leader in natural gas, and would start pumping all of the US's oil, reopening the Keystone pipeline for example, giving a much-needed boost to the US economy.

The US has spent 170 billion dollars on the Ukraine war, but with a million dead, there's no end in sight- he is the only one capable of making the necessary deal. Finally, Trump has one trait that is essential in the Commander in Chief - unpredictability.

This scares the bejesus out of the leaders of China, Russia and Iran. Just the fact that these dictatorial regimes would so love to see Kamala win should make this a no-brainer.

Avi Woolf:

Some of us aren't happy about either choice, and we would caution against exuberance if Trump wins. America is still very polarized, and Israel could very easily find itself on the wrong end of the other side's wrath as part of an effort to attack Trump. There is no such thing as a permanent majority in the United States; the Democrats will win back power eventually, and when they do, anything associated with Trump - including Israel - will likely be a target.

Many of us come from different countries and now live in different cities in Israel. We have different religious and cultural beliefs too, and we don't always agree about everything, but when it comes to Trump, three out of the four of us strongly believe that he is the only candidate to vote for.

So here's to (most of) our fave candidate President Donald Tump.

At Jfeed, most of us are hoping and praying that you win today.
