Clash of testimonies: Police expected to conduct confrontation between Feldstein and Urich
Police plan to expand the "Qatargate" investigation by questioning additional individuals and confronting the two main suspects. Most investigative actions remain under a gag order.

The Israeli police are preparing to significantly expand their investigation into the "Qatargate" affair, according to information released today (Saturday). Many of the investigative actions are currently protected by a court-issued gag order. However, in the coming days, the special investigative team is expected to gather testimony from additional individuals involved in the case and conduct a confrontation between the two key suspects — Jonathan Urich and Eli Feldstein.
This confrontation is intended to clarify conflicting points in their versions of events and help investigators construct a clearer picture of the timeline and the individuals involved.
The charges attributed to the two suspects include bribery, contact with a foreign agent, breach of trust, money laundering, and tax offenses. According to journalist Ben Caspit, the Shin Bet and the police are investigating suspicions that Qatar financed the salary of one of the Prime Minister’s spokespersons during the war—a spokesperson who allegedly had access to sensitive war-related information.
Additional details about the investigation’s direction and the specific actions planned by the police remain undisclosed due to the extensive gag order currently in place.
Meanwhile, the police are interested in questioning the third member of Netanyahu’s advisory team, Srulik Einhorn, who is currently in Serbia. At the same time, there are questions about how the expected changes in the leadership of the Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) might affect the ongoing course of the investigation.
