Bennett: "Qatar Has Infiltrated the Holiest of Israel’s Security Centers"

Former Prime Minister Slams Qatar-Gate Revelations in Fierce X Post

Former Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett launched a scathing attack today (Wednesday) in response to the latest revelations in the Qatar-Gate affair. "Qatar has infiltrated the holiest of Israel’s security centers – the Prime Minister’s Office," he wrote on his X account. "How can we trust the decisions of someone whose office is filled with moles funded by Israel’s enemies?"

"I will say this again because it is so hard to grasp: The terror government of Qatar(!) funded the security spokesperson(!!) of the Prime Minister of Israel, during wartime(!!!). This is no longer a rumor, but a fact published this morning. The only question now is: who knew what?" he continued. "Qatar is a ruthless enemy of the State of Israel and the main financier of Hamas. Its hands are drenched in rivers of Jewish blood."

Bennett elaborated on the severity of the situation: "I was Israel’s Prime Minister not long ago, so let me explain the significance of 'Qatar-Gate.' If I had discovered that someone in my office was receiving money from a foreign state—say, Belgium—I would have immediately dismissed them in disgrace. Right after, I would have summoned the head of the Shin Bet and the police commissioner, demanding a thorough investigation and screening of my entire office to ensure that no one else was compromised. After all, the Prime Minister and his office are supposed to serve only the interests of Israel."

The former Prime Minister emphasized, "Anyone receiving money or a salary from another country is committing a severe breach of trust. And that would be true even if the foreign state were Belgium. But here, we are not talking about Belgium—we are talking about Qatar. If I had discovered that an advisor in my office was funded by Qatar or Iran, both terror states that finance and carry out attacks against Israelis, that would be a hundred times more severe. If done knowingly, it would be an outright betrayal of the State of Israel—plain and simple. If it was unknowingly, meaning the advisor had no idea their salary originated from Qatar, then Qatar is effectively running unwitting agents inside the Israeli Prime Minister’s Office, which constitutes a security failure of the highest order."

Bennett further condemned the government’s response: "Not only were these advisors not immediately dismissed on suspicion of treason, but Netanyahu, for some reason, continues to cover up the incident and fight against the investigators themselves. In such a situation, the government and its leader have completely shattered any shred of public trust in their motives. They have no moral authority to send soldiers into battle. How can anyone trust the decisions of someone whose office is infiltrated by moles funded by Israel’s enemies? (For the sake of clarity, every soldier called upon by the IDF must still report for duty.)"

The controversy continues to escalate, with growing calls for further investigation and political accountability.
