Hezbollah took responsibility for launching a suicide drone at Camp Dado - the IDF's Northern Command base near Safed.
In addition to the UAV, several rockets were launched along the eastern section of the northern border. According to a video released from the base, the UAV hit a parking lot and caused minor damage to one of the buildings in addition to a fire that broke out in an open area. No casualties were reported.
Hezbollah's claim of responsibility stated: "In response to the crime of the assassination of the great leader of the martyrs Sheikh Saleh al-Arouri and his brother in the southern suburbs of Beirut and the crime of the assassination of the leader of the martyrs, brother Mujahid Wissam al-Tawil (Haj Jawad)."
"The resistance in Lebanon was aimed at the enemy army's northern area command headquarters. In the occupied city of Safed (Dado Base) with several means of attack."
The Northern Command attack is Hezbollah's second reprisal event against Israel. On Saturday, the base of the Air Force's air control unit in Meron was attacked with an anti-tank missile. There were no casualties in the incident, but the systems were apparently damaged.
In response, Israel killed the commander of the Redwan force, Wissam al-Tawil, yesterday, and also this morning, three Hezbollah terrorists were killed by aircraft.
