Combat operations continue in the depths of the Gaza Strip. The IDF has released a series of documentation depicting the elimination of terrorists who acted against IDF forces in the Strip, using Remotely Piloted Aircraft (UAVs) for close air support, and providing immediate assistance to ground forces in action.
According to an IDF spokesperson, Air Force Remotely Piloted Aircraft (UAVs) are constantly deployed alongside ground forces, providing direct and indirect support. Indirect support is coordinated by operators of the UAVs in collaboration with division and Air Force control, guiding the vehicles to points of interest and notifying them of events in the sector.
In addition, UAVs perform close air support tasks, executing various missions such as attacks, intelligence gathering, escorting forces, and rapidly closing fire circles with ground forces. The documentation released by the IDF illustrates how the aerial assets serve as close support for ground forces and are utilized for the elimination of terrorists throughout the entire Gaza Strip.
