Unprecedented: This is How the IDF Will Evacuate Residents of Gaza

Ahead of the next phase of the war, the IDF is publishing the map of the evacuation zones in the Gaza Strip: dividing the territory of the Gaza Strip into zones according to the division into recognized neighborhoods to allow the residents of Gaza to find their way around and understand the instructions and to evacuate from specific places if they are required to do so in order to maintain their safety.

In an interactive map published, the numbers of the areas in the north and south of the Gaza Strip appear, calling on residents to locate the area relevant to them and to act if they are asked to evacuate from it.

The map was published on a special page on the IDF website in Arabic and in a special video published by an IDF spokesperson in Arabic on social networks. Also, the map was published in leaflets distributed by the IDF in the Gaza Strip.

In a dedicated video in Arabic, the IDF addressed the residents of Gaza: "Residents of the Gaza Strip, the State of Israel is at war with the terrorist organization Hamas. The terrorist organizations operate from within the civilian population. This is a strategy of assimilation into the heart of the residential neighborhoods and action from within the civil institutions. The IDF works strongly against the terrorist organizations, and makes great efforts to distinguish between the civilians and the terrorists, the residents of the Gaza Strip are not our enemy."

"Because of this, the IDF conducts a controlled and precise evacuation of the Gazan population with the aim of removing them as much as possible from the war zone. For this purpose, we are publishing the "map of the zones", which divide the territory of the Gaza Strip into regions and neighborhoods as you know them, with the aim of helping you in the next stages of the war, to orientate yourself and understand the instructions and evacuate from a specific place if required precisely to maintain your safety."

At the end of the video, the IDF spokesman says: "Residents of Gaza, obeying the evacuation instructions is the safest way to maintain your safety, your lives and the lives of your families. I urge you to look deeper into the map, identify your area of residence, the numbers of the relevant areas, and evacuate your area of residence in accordance with the instructions if you receive an official instruction to do so from the IDF."
