"Where are we flying to?": Documenting the Return of Ohad Munder

The IDF spokesman released today (Sunday) a recording of the moments of nine-year-old Ohad Munder's return to Israel, after his release from 50 days in captivity in the Gaza Strip. The IDF stressed that the video was released with the approval of the family and after coordination with them.

In the video, Ohad can be seen in the helicopter that flew him to the hospital after his release, talking on the communication network with Captain M. of the squadron - who told him that "I will explain to you about what you want to hear". Ohad asked in response, "Where are we flying to?", and the flight attendant made it clear to him: "We are now flying to Schneider."(Schneider Children's Medical Center of Israel).

Later, the pilot asked Ohad: "Can you see ahead from the window here?" When he answered affirmatively, she asked him if he had been in a helicopter before - and Ohad replied that he had, but "not the army's".
