An Attack Attempt Near Hebron Was Foiled, Two Terrorists Were Killed

An attempted terrorist attack, took place near Hebron when a terrorist fired at IDF forces, who returned fire and neutralized him. 2 terrorists were killed - the driver and the shooter. No casualties were reported to the forces.

An attempted terrorist attack took place today (Friday), at the Olive junction near Hebron when a terrorist fired at IDF forces, who returned fire and neutralized the terrorist.

According to the initial reports, the attempted attack took place on the Cross Yehuda Highway, when a terrorist collided with a concrete barricade at the Olive Junction, got out of the vehicle, and fired at the force who responded by firing and neutralizing him. Later it was said that 2 terrorists, the shooter and the driver, were killed at the scene. No injuries were reported among the soldiers.

An IDF spokesperson stated that "two terrorists arrived in a car a short time ago at the Olive Junction, near Hebron in the Yehuda Brigade, and fired at the forces operating there, the fighters, from Reserve Battalion 8106, shot and killed the two terrorists. The forces also confiscated the Carlo-type weapon from which the shooting was carried out. There are no casualties to our forces."

They also noted that "the terrorists who carried out the attack on the Tunnels Barrier also left from the same intersection. The fighters in the Yehuda Brigade are alert and ready for any scenario in order to maintain the security of the residents of the sector."
