The General Security Service published the names of the terrorists who carried out the shooting attack that happened this morning at the Tunnels Barrier, among the terrorists was the son of the head of the military wing of Hamas in Hebron who was killed.

The terrorists are Abed al-Kader Qawasma, 26 years old, who lives in Hebron, a Hamas operative. His father is Abdullah Qawasma, who served as the head of Hamas's military wing in Hebron and was killed in 2003. The second terrorist is Hassan Mamoun Kapisha, 28 years old, living in Hebron, identified with Hamas. His uncle is a diving coach who was deported in 2011 to Turkey. Another terrorist participated in the attack, but his identity has not yet been verified.

As published earlier, three terrorists arrived in a vehicle from Judea and Samaria at the Tunnels Barrier near Jerusalem and opened fire at the security forces. As a result of the incident, 7 people were injured in various degrees of injury, including one in a very serious condition. The three terrorists were injured and 3 terrorists were neutralized by the security forces operating at the checkpoint.

After the neutralization, large forces of police, Border Police, and IDF work to scan the area and carry out supplementary operations at the scene of the attack. sappers from the Jerusalem district are working at the scene, and the road is closed to vehicle traffic until the end of treatment at the scene of the attack. Jerusalem District Commander Superintendent Doron Turgeman arrived at the scene and held an initial situation assessment with the commanders.
