Publication Was Allowed: Shlomo Ben Nun of Modi'in Fell in the Battles in Gaza

The IDF spokesman permitted the publication of the name of another casualty who fell in the fighting in the northern Gaza Strip: Captain Shlomo Ben-Nun, 22 years old from Modi'in, deputy company commander in the 202nd Battalion, Parachute Brigade.

This increased the total number of casualties whose names were allowed to be published to 371 soldiers since the beginning of the war in the South. May they rest in peace.

In addition, a reservist from the 75th Battalion, 7th Brigade, and a reservist from the 9215th Battalion, 205th Brigade were seriously injured in the fighting in the northern Gaza Strip. The fighters were evacuated to receive medical treatment at a hospital, their families were informed.

This morning, the names of the two IDF martyrs who fell in the battle in the northern Gaza Strip, who were department commanders in engineering and armor, were allowed to be published: Captain Assaf Mester, 22 years old from Kibbutz Bahah, a platoon commander in the 601st Battalion, 401st Brigade (forming the iron tracks), and Captain Kfir Yitzhak Franco, 22 years old, from Jerusalem, a platoon commander in the 52nd Battalion, 401st Brigade. Both were promoted from the rank of lieutenant to the rank of captain after their deaths.

In addition, an IDF reserve officer from Battalion 9217 was seriously injured in a battle in the northern Gaza Strip and an IDF reserve fighter from the Southern Brigade was seriously injured during an operational activity in the surrounding area. Their families have been informed.
