The President of the United States, Joe Biden, held a press conference tonight in which he mainly referred to the war in Gaza.
Among the first issues he addressed was the issue of the abductees: "I work all day long on the release of the abductees, I will not stop until we release them. I am very involved in everything that concerns their return, there was cooperation with the Qataris and I spoke with them several times. The Israelis agreed to ceasefires, and I do not want to enter into any more Too many details - but I am full of cautious hope."
Regarding the murderous conduct of the Hamas organization, Biden said: "Hamas has already said publicly that they intend to attack again as they did, when they beheaded babies and burned children and women alive. To think that they will simply stop and do nothing is unrealistic. They use tunnels to enter the hospital, among other things Hamas said he would do it again. So I ask a rhetorical question - what would America do in this situation?"
When asked by one of the journalists about the end of the war, Biden said: "When Hamas does not have the ability to murder and do horrible things to Israelis - and as of this morning the Israelis believe they are still capable of doing this. Hamas plans to attack again and it is a terrible dilemma what to do in such a situation - and Israel takes A risk that its people will be killed in this operation."
