Two Lightly Injured in Rocket Attack in Ashkelon

Red alarms have now been sounded in Ashkelon, Mavki'im, Beit Shikma, and Ge'a as well as in several settlements in the Gaza Strip, the MDA team went out to scan some areas where a fall was reported

Red alarms were sounded now (Tuesday) in several cities in western Hevel Lakhish, including Ashkelon - South, Ashkelon - North, Ashkelon North Industrial Zone, Bat Hadar, Ashkelon South Industrial Zone, Mavki'im, Beit Shikma, and Ge'a.

In addition, alarms were sounded in several settlements in the Gaza Strip: Zikim, Yad Mordechai, and Karmia.

MDA teams went to search scenes where falls were reported and are providing medical treatment to 2 injured people in a minor condition. The injured, 2 men in their 30s in minor condition, are being transferred from the Ashkelon sector to Barzilai Hospital, with head injuries. In addition, 2 anxiety victims were treated.

Police officers and police saboteurs of the Lakhish area are now working to isolate the rocket fall scenes in Ashkelon, and are scanning for remains and other items to remove another risk to the public.

The Israel Police stated: "We call on the residents to stay in the protected areas, to avoid coming to the arenas and not to approach or touch the remains of rockets that may contain explosives and to report this without delay to the 100 hotline of the Israel Police."
