"Fauda" says goodbye to the late Matan Meir: "Thank you for everything"

The production and stars of 'Fauda', along with other stars who worked by the side of the late Major Matan Meir who was killed in the battles in Gaza, say goodbye to him with sadness and tell about the special staff member who he was.

Major (Res.) Matan Meir from Moshav Odem, who was killed in the battle in the northern Gaza Strip and whose name was allowed to be published last night (Saturday), was a crew member in many Israeli productions, including "Fauda", "The Cops", "Desert Rose" and more. The production and the many actors who worked alongside him said goodbye to him in pain.

"We are absolutely devastated to share that one of our Fauda family members, Matan Meir, was killed in action in Gaza" reads the official and international Instagram page of 'Fauda', to its 91 thousand followers "Matan was an integral part of the team for all 4 seasons of Fauda. The entire cast and crew are completely heartbroken by this tragic loss. We would like to express our condolences to Matan's family and friends."

The star and creator of the series, the actor Lior Raz, said goodbye to Matan and wrote "I loved you Matan, thank you for everything". The actor Doron Ben David, who played throughout the series, also separated from the crew member he worked with. "Matan, my heart is full of sorrow. I refuse to believe," Ben David wrote. A big heart. Rest in peace."

Other stars who worked alongside the late Meir in other Israeli series expressed their condolences to his family and sadly said goodbye to him: "I wish we were worthy of your sacrifice," wrote Eliana Tidhar, who worked with him in the series "Desert Rose". Omer Hazan, who worked with him in the same series, also wrote: "Dear man And funny that he always took care of everyone. May his memory be blessed." "You have no idea how much I loved you".
