After meeting with American President Joe Biden, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu gave a statement this evening (Wednesday) from the Kiryah in Tel Aviv, where he related what happened at the meetings and American commitments to the war.

“Citizens of Israel, I wish to update you on a few things from my meeting with President Biden,” Netanyahu said. “Yesterday night, before the President took off for Israel, I presented him with decisive evidence that Islamic Jihad, not the IDF, fired the rocket that hit the Gaza hospital. I instructed our national hasbarah network and the IDF to distribute these proofs, and the world today knows the truth. It will also here it at the Security Council.”

According to him, “this is the first time the American President arrives in Israel in time of war. I spoke to him of the horrors we have endured. Of the terrible pain of bereavement and sorrow befalling us all. Of the heroism of our fighters. Of the daring of our civilians and the unity within us.”

Netanyahu noted that “during the visit today, we achieved something of supreme importance with an enormous contribution to our security: enormous security aid to the State of Israel, aid of an unprecedented scope, including aid which further increases our war capabilities.”

“Regarding the captives, I clarified three things to President Biden. First, I demanded the return of the captives, and we are working together to bring them back any way we can. Second, until their return, we demand visits of the Red Cross to our captives. Third, we will not allow humanitarian aid of food and medicines from our territory into the Gaza Strip.”

“President Biden came to here not just with emotional and comforting words, which touched the entire nation. He also came here with deeds,” Netanyahu summarized. “At our meeting today we summarized the actions and deeds which ensure the continuation of our just war. We agreed on the continued cooperation which will change the equation in all sectors, and help us achieve the aims of war. Citizens of Israel, brothers and sisters, Am Yisrael Chai – and Am Yisrael will win.”
