More on the Gaza hospital controversy.
After multiple accusations that Israel was behind the bombing of the hospital in Gaza, the IDF Spokesperson published new documentation showing an explosion which does not fit the profile of Air Force strikes in the Strip and which originated in a failed rocket launch by Palestinian Islamic Jihad.
The documentation shows that the failed PIJ rocket launch is in the parking lot next to the hospital, with a blast that does not look like craters created by IAF munitions. Furthermore, the buildings next to the hospital were not damaged, further proof that the IDF did not drop a bomb into this area.

IDF Spokesperson: “Islamic Jihad is responsible for the damage to the hospital”
Earlier this morning, the IDF Spokesperson issued a statement regarding the failed rocket launch of Islamic Jihad which hit the hospital, releasing documents and transcripts confirming this claim. “After conducting a deep and thorough inquiry within the IDF, we can confirm that the Islamic Jihad terror organization is responsible for the harm to the hospital in Gaza.”
“We conducted an immediate inquiry with all relevant parties in the IDF. This is the order of events as they took place Tuesday, October 17:
At 18:15, a rocket salvo was fired by Hamas into Israel.
At 18:59, some 10 rockets were fired by Islamic Jihad from a cemetery in the area.
At the same time, 18:59, reports came in of an explosion at a hospital in the city of Gaza. According to our intelligence, Hamas looked into the reports, understood it to be a failed Islamic Jihad rocket launch, and decided to launch a campaign of lies to hide the truth.”
