In response to the Islamic Jihad rocket strike on the hospital that resulted in the deaths of hundreds of Palestinians, Arab rioters vandalized the Joseph's Tomb compound in Shechem (Nablus) last night (between Tuesday and Wednesday).
As reported yesterday, the Islamic Jihad hit the Al-Mamadani Hospital in the Gaza Strip following a failed attempt to launch a missile towards Israel. As a result of the strike, Palestinians reported around 500 casualties. After the incident, the IDF conducted an investigation and stated that a terrorist organization was responsible for the attack.
The IDF spokesperson stated, "From a comprehensive investigation and cross-referencing of all operational and intelligence systems, it is clear that the IDF did not target the hospital in Gaza." The IDF spokesperson added, "The hospital was damaged as a result of a failed rocket launch by the Islamic Jihad terrorist organization."
Hagari added, "Terror organizations in the Gaza Strip indiscriminately fire towards Israel, endangering and also harming the residents of the Gaza Strip. Since the beginning of the conflict, about 450 rockets have been launched by terror organizations that landed within the territory of the Gaza Strip."
As a result of the strike, an Arab leaders' summit with President Biden in Jordan was canceled, and hundreds of Jordanian rioters gathered outside the Israeli embassy in Jordan. Additionally, there were reports of disturbances near the Israeli consulate in Turkey. The National Security Council issued a message for all Israelis in Turkey to leave the country immediately due to the highest-level threat.
