President Biden's Visit to Israel: This is the Schedule

Amid the security situation, US President Joe Biden is set to arrive in Israel today (Wednesday) and will meet with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and President Isaac Herzog. Biden is expected to participate in a security cabinet meeting.

Below is the schedule:

10:00 - The President and Prime Minister will greet the US President upon his arrival at Ben Gurion Airport.

11:00 - Meeting of Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu with President Joe Biden.

14:00 - Meeting of President Isaac Herzog with US President Joe Biden.

In light of the visit, changes in traffic arrangements and road closures are also expected on various routes near Ben Gurion Airport and on routes leading to Tel Aviv and throughout the city of Tel Aviv.

Passengers traveling to or from Ben Gurion Airport tomorrow near the time of the visit are requested to stay updated through communication channels and the Waze application regarding the temporary changes in traffic arrangements. It is recommended to use the train to Terminal 3.

Route 1 will be closed from the Lod interchange to the LaGuardia interchange, along with Route 20 in both directions and all the interchanges leading to sections of the highway. Route 4 will be closed from the Ganot interchange at its junction with Routes 1 and 20.

In the Tel Aviv district, extensive changes will be made to the traffic arrangements and the police will block large parts of the south of the city, and on the roads leading to the city center intermittently and for as short periods of time as possible.

In the light rail, it has been announced that due to the visit of the US President and in accordance with the instructions of the Israeli police, the Red Line of the light rail will operate today, Wednesday, between 09:30 AM and 3:00 PM as follows:

Line R1 from Petah Tikva central station (CBS) to Elifelet station in both directions.

Line R1 from the Komemiyut station to the HaAtzmaut Bat Yam station in both directions.

Line R3 operates as usual without any changes *Please note - after 15:00, the light rail will return to normal operation along the entire line*.
