Macron Reacts to Mia Schem Being Kidnapped: "Condemn the Disgrace"

French President Emmanuel Macron responded on Tuesday to the video of the abduction of Mia Schem, who holds French citizenship. In his statement, he condemned Hamas for the abduction of the civilians and called for her immediate release.

According to a statement from the Élysée Palace, "The video of Mia Schem, a French-Israeli citizen, which was distributed by the Hamas terrorist organization, has been brought to the attention of the President of the Republic. The President condemns the shame of abducting innocent civilians and their despicable staging, and calls for her immediate and unconditional release."

It was further emphasized that "France is fully committed and works together with its partners to secure the release of the French-Israeli citizens held by Hamas. The Minister for European and Foreign Affairs met with the families whose loved ones were either killed or kidnapped, including the family of Mia Schem, on Sunday."
