IDF Seizes Millions of Shekels in Hamas Funds

Over 4.7 million NIS of Hamas terror funds were seized by IDF, Border Guard, Israel Police, and Shin Bet forces in recent weeks.

Fighting terror funding. IDF soldiers working with Border Guards, Israel Police officers, and Shin Bet officers worked over the past month to locate and seize terror funds in broad, intelligence-driven sweeps.

As part of the ongoing effort by Central Command to combat the transfer of money to terror organizations, the forces operated in the village of Turmus Ayya and the city of al-Bira in the Binyamin brigade’s command area. During the activity the soldiers seized gold and cash money meant for use as terror funds.

All in all, the soldiers seized 4.7 million NIS worth of terror money. The money was sent for further handling by the defense forces. This activity is part of the ongoing campaign to fight the flow of funds to terror groups.
