A new poll published this morning (Friday) shows a dramatic picture regarding the direct consequence of the fighting in the south for the political fortunes of Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu compared to that of State Camp party chairman Benny Gantz.
According to the survey, conducted by Laza Research for Maariv, if the elections were held today, the breakdown of Knesset seats would be as follows:
State Camp – 41 seats, Likud – 19, Yesh Atid – 15, United Torah Judaism – 7, Shas – 7, Meretz – 6, Israel Beiteinu – 6, Hadah-Ta’al – 5, Ra’am – 5, Otzma Yehudit – 5, Religious Zionism – 4. The Labour and Balad parties do not pass the electoral threshold.
Based on breakdown into blocs: coalition parties – 42 seats, opposition parties – 78 seats.
