Alarm in the North

Alarm in Kiryat Shmona and Surrounding Towns

And once again, a red alert in the north. Sirens were activated in Kiryat Shmona and the surrounding area. During the last day, a number of alerts turned out to be false reports.

A red alert was activated in the city of Kiryat Shmona and in surrounding settlements. Residents are required to enter protected spaces.

Magen David Adom (MDA) reported: "Following the alert in the Kiryat Shmona area, at this stage, no reports have been received regarding rocket falls or injuries."

This is the fourth alert in the northern region in the past few hours. Earlier today, sirens were heard in the Metula area.

The IDF stated about the launch of the Patriot: "Following the report of the activation of alerts in the north of the country, the air defense fighters launched an interceptor following a detection in the skies of Israel, the alerts were activated following the interception and at this time it is being checked whether it was a true detection."

If it turns out to be another false alarm, it would be the third false alarm within a day and the second one within an hour. Shortly before that, a Patriot missile was fired into the northern skies following an alert about an incoming aircraft, which was later confirmed to be a false alarm.
