Residents of Samaria claim that Major General Yehuda Fuchs, the Central Command chief, approved a funeral procession for the four Hamas terrorists from the village of Kutzrah who were killed by the IDF yesterday during their attempt to infiltrate the town of Esh Kodesh.
According to the residents' claims, the approval includes a convoy of twenty vehicles that will pass through the central artery of Samaria, including passing through the Tapuah Junction and the Ariel Junction. In light of this, the Samaria residents are mobilizing at this hour, starting from 09:30, to physically block the funeral procession, out of concern that what happened in the village of Huwara last Friday may recur now as well.
The funeral procession is expected to depart from the nearby village of Salfit, which is close to the city of Ariel, and from there pass through the Ariel Junction itself, through the village of Marda, the Tapuah Junction, and then proceed in the direction of the village of Kutzrah. This involves traveling on the main artery that connects the residents of the Samaria region, the Jordan Valley, and the northeastern settlements of Binyamin to the central region, which serves thousands of Israeli residents every day. It's worth noting that a similar funeral procession was approved last week, even before the beginning of the hostilities, in the village of Huwara in Samaria, which resulted in the closure of the village for many hours and violent clashes with the residents.
Communication officer Elchanan Groner, a resident of Samaria, states: "Like in the South, the army doesn't understand the situation at all and is making a strange move. The army is allowing a convoy from Salfit to Kutzrah of twenty vehicles with the bodies of the terrorists that the army eliminated yesterday in Kutzrah, in order to facilitate their mass funeral procession. The procession will depart from Salfit and will pass through our main road, via the Tapuah Junction. Now everyone is coming down to the Tapuah Junction to stop this, to prevent this madness. We will not be here like in the South, and we will not allow the army to let them slaughter us."
