Yesterday (Monday), the national war room of the IDF, Shin Bet, Israel Police, government ministries, and the National Cyber System located some 30 missing Israelis at kibbutz Ein Hashlosha in the south.
Yesterday at 21:00, the war room call center received a distress message regarding missing civilians. The center staff confirmed the details of the event, and managed to locate them through location pinpointing. At 21:52, IDF tactical teams arrived at the kibbutz and managed to rescue the 30 missing Israelis on site.
The shared war room of the IDF and the Israel Police was opened in the beginning of the week to help locate and rescue missing civilians. Hundreds of families have reached out to the war room since it started operating. The IDF and Police have worked day and night to locate the missing and update the families on every detail in the possession of the defense forces.
The war room is on 4 Hanegev Street, Kiryat Sdeh Hate'ufah (443 Lahav building) and will continue to provide a maximal response to all search efforts on the ground.
Assistant Population Behavioral Officer for the Dan District, Academic Professional Officer Yosi Graber, said that "Within the great darkness, we had a small point of light last night. Thanks to citizens' reports, location pinpointing, and cooperation between a designated team of Rear Command, the Shin Bet, and the Police, 30 people were located and saved from the horror. There was great excitement in the war room when we received the report that they are together, alive and well, and on their way to a safe location. This is the moment you understand the importance of our mission."
