Deputy Prime Minister and Justice Minister Yariv Levin addressed the efforts to form an emergency government, saying he's doing everything he can to make it happen in the next few hours.

In a statement, Levin said: "Dear citizens of Israel, all our hearts are torn and shattered in the face of the enormous tragedy we are experiencing. These are difficult days, which require cohesion, we need strength, and we need to minimize declarations."

Levin clarified that "In these days, we need something else - the immediate formation of an emergency national government, and I am making a great effort in recent days so that this happens."

"These are days of war and thanks to the soldiers of the IDF and defense forces, and thanks to the rear's steadfast stance - we will win it. I embrace and strengthen the families of the fallen and the murdered. I wish a rapid recovery to the wounded, and hope for the quick return of the kidnapped present in Gaza. I send support to the soldiers of the IDF and the defense forces. We're all with you."
