The Islamic Jihad claim: We infiltrated from Lebanon

On Wednesday, the IDF announced the death of Captain Elay Elisha Lugasi, 21, from Kiryat Shmona. He served as a team commander in the 75th Battalion of the 7th Armoured Brigade and was killed by an anti-tank missile in Gaza City's Shijaiyah neighbourhood.

Three projectiles launched by Hezbollah landed in the Kiryat Shmona area on open ground. No casualties were reported.

Abu Ali Nasser, commander of Hezbollah's Aziz unit responsible for the western sector of southern Lebanon, was reportedly eliminated in an IDF drone strike.

Meanwhile, about 15 projectiles were launched at Israel from Lebanon, 10 of which were intercepted.

It's a delicate balance we strike - acknowledging the potential danger while refusing to let it paralyze our daily lives.

The Heharim or The Mountains Brigade was formed as part of an effort to adapt to changing circumstances along the northern border.

Civilians on both sides of the border wait and watch, their lives suspended between an uneasy peace and the looming specter of war.

They believe a ceasefire is Israel's best course of action currently, even if it means that Hamas stays in power. 

Although officials claim this is a proactive measure, not a mass evacuation, it certainly looks  like they are making concrete preparations for war.

As tensions continue to brew between Hezbollah and Israel, numerous airlines have now restricted flights to Beirut and are changing flight schedules for the upcoming future. 

The IDF struck two terrorist structures in southern Lebanon today, alongside other terrorist infrastructure elsewhere.

European paper BILD reports that a number of European leaders have been informed that Israel intends to launch a war on this date and on specific terms.
