The battles in the north: An IDF spokesperson confirmed that combat helicopters are currently striking in Lebanese territory. This follows the earlier infiltration of terrorists into Israel.
As mentioned, the attack in Lebanon comes after 4 terrorists crossed the border from Lebanon into Israeli territory near the Admit area. IDF forces surrounded the terrorists and began firing missiles, with at least two of them being killed, and one returning to Lebanese territory. The IDF stated that the soldiers continue to conduct searches in the area.
Furthermore, it was stated that three soldiers were injured in the incident, with injuries ranging from moderate to light, and they were evacuated to the Galilee Medical Center in the western Galilee. One of the injured soldiers was later transferred by military helicopter to Rambam Hospital, where he underwent imaging tests.
About an hour before the incident at the border, a red alert siren was heard in the communities of Ramot Naftali and Yiftah on the northern border. Following the alert, residents of Kiryat Shmona were instructed to enter protected areas until further notice.
According to sources in Lebanon, between 12 to 15 rockets were fired towards Israel. However, according to the IDF, two mortar shells were identified as having been launched from Lebanon, with one of them landing in Lebanese territory. At this point, there are no reports of casualties or damage.
