IDF Spokesperson: We'll Update on the Captives Only After We Inform the Families

The Spokesperson addressed complaints of shortages and said "There is equipment in the IDF. There are places and units which reached 150% and 200%. We'll release some of the forces, we don't lack for equipment and we don't lack food, it's all coming."

IDF Spokesperson Daniel Hagari said today (Monday) in a briefing to reporters that "We are attacking terrorists. We are not attacking places where there are no terrorists. There are hundreds of dead terrorists on the fence."

He also said that "organizing the region is the central mission today. The breaches opened in the fence in Gaza will be secured by tanks which will enter the region and stand against any breach. Aerial vehicles - attack helicopters, drones, in order to hold all the breaches in the fence."

"The settlements close to the fence are in the stages of evacuation. We've fully evacuated 15 of the 24 settlements. Over the coming 24 hours we will evacuate all settlements close to the fence. Sderot will not be evacuated at this stage. 4400 launches were carried out into the state's territory."

The spokesperson addressed claims of shortages in the army, saying "300,000 reservists in 48 hours. The citizens of Israel at their best are presenting in the IDF. There is equipment in the IDF. There are places and units which reached 150% and 200%. We'll release some of the forces, we don't lack for equipment and we don't lack food, it's all coming."

There are some 700 killed. We updated the families of 73 fallen soldiers. There are hundreds of wounded. There are kidnapped and missing from the combat areas. Hamas published data. The murderous Hamas published films, showing their barbarism and murderousness."
