Religious Zionism party chairman Betzalel Smotrich joined the calls to form a unity government as soon as possible, without coalition negotiations.
According to Smotrich, "Unity and cohesion are the call of the hour to defeat our enemies. Forget teams and forget negotiations. I call on Prime Minister Netanyahu and Benny Gantz to rise to the occasion, meet immediately and agree on forming a national emergency government which will unite the nation, lift the spirit, provide full backing to the IDF and with God's help bring the complete elimination of Hamas and terror organizations in Gaza."
At the same time, National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir responded this morning to Gantz and Liberman's proposal to enter into an emergency government by saying that so long as they support the crushing of Hamas' rule, they will be welcomed.
"So long as the basis of agreement for entry into the government is that the mission defined for the IDF by the government is complete victory and the crushing of Hamas' military and political power, Otzma Yehudit will welcome such a broad emergency government. Israel is facing an emergency. We must unite and win," Ben Gvir said.
