With a kippah and a knife: detectives arrested 2 suspects near a synagogue

The police detectives in Jerusalem arrested two suspects, residents of East Jerusalem, near a synagogue in Pisgat Ze'ev. One of them was found in possession of a knife, a kippah, and a Star of David necklace

This evening, around 20:30, a report was received by the police regarding two suspects who were observed behaving suspiciously near a synagogue in the Pisgat Ze'ev neighborhood in Jerusalem. Detectives from the Jerusalem district were dispatched to the scene.

Detectives from the police located the two suspects, one from East Jerusalem and the other a resident of the Pisgat Ze'ev area in their 30s, and detained them for questioning. During the investigation, the officers found in the possession of one of the suspects a knife, a kippah (skullcap), and a necklace with a Star of David pendant. The arrested suspects were taken in for further questioning at the police station.
