In the past few hours, the IDF launched intense airstrikes in Gaza. Dozens of fighter jets struck approximately 120 targets in various areas of the Beit Hanoun neighborhood. The attack resulted in the delivery of dozens of tons of munitions.
The Beit Hanoun neighborhood serves as a hub of terror for Hamas, from which various activities against Israel are conducted, including during the recent days of fighting. This represents a significant escalation in the waves of attacks as part of the ongoing development of the conflict.
At the same time, a terrorist tunnel that served the Hamas terrorist organization was attacked. The tunnel is located beneath a multi-story building in the Darj Fatah neighborhood in the northern part of Gaza City. Adjacent to the tunnel is a mosque, once again demonstrating that the Hamas terrorist organization exploits holy sites and civilian populations to advance terrorism.
In the meantime, IDF spokesman Daniel Hagari issued a statement to the media in which he said that "we are purifying the area and attacking terrorists wherever they are, there is still an enemy in the field, we have destroyed 800 targets in Gaza, Hamas has inflicted a great disaster on the residents of the Gaza Strip. Hundreds dead and thousands injured. We took dozens of terrorists captive in the last few hours as well."
The spokesman addressed the public's claims and said that "there is room for difficult questions and a sharp investigation, but now we are at war and are busy striking the enemy and winning, wherever there are assembly areas we will attack - everything related to the abductees we are following. But right now we are focusing on fighting, the Chief of Staff is working around the clock to protect the citizens of Israel, will speak to the public later."
