Members of the "Jerusalem Unity" ("Ihud Yerushalmi") party visited the sukkah of Rabbi Binyamin Lau. During the visit, Rabbi Lau called on the party members to continue to fight for the Jewish character of Jerusalem, emphasizing the importance of preserving the city's Jewish identity. He also stressed that "hatred and Judaism do not go together. The Torah ways are ways of pleasantness."
Yossi Havilio, the candidate for mayor, stated in front of Rabbi Lau that "We feel that we represent his path. Jerusalem is the place to begin the moderate and united Jewish message from."
The "Jerusalem Unity" list, led by Yossi Havilio, who is also a candidate for mayor, is a united list consisting of Yesh Atid, Labor, Meretz, and a new protest organization called "Hozeh Chadash." The list was formed with the goal of returning the moderate and liberal majority to the Jerusalem City Council. In the meeting, Member of Knesset Moshe (Kinley) Tur-Paz, from the Yesh Atid party, also participated.
