17 Wanted Persons were Arrested

After the shooting at the settlements: 17 wanted persons were arrested in Judea and Samaria

In recent days, following several reports of terrorists firing towards Jewish communities in the Gilboa and Samaria, IDF soldiers conducted extensive operations in several locations in Judea and Samaria and arrested 17 wanted terrorists involved in terrorist activities

IDF soldiers, along with the Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) and Border Police, conducted operations last night (Tuesday) to arrest 17 wanted individuals and seize combat equipment across Judea and Samaria. The soldiers apprehended 12 wanted suspects in the villages of Rujeeb, Yatta, Samua, Beit Awwa, Qataneh and Beit Ummar.

In the city of Shechem (Nablus), another wanted individual was arrested, and during the operation, suspects threw stones at the forces. In the activity in the village of Salfit, suspects hurled stones at the forces, who responded with crowd-dispersal means. In Hebron, the soldiers arrested two more wanted individuals, discovered and seized two stun grenades, a handgun, and ammunition.

In the village of Aqaba, a wanted individual was arrested, and during the operation, suspects threw an explosive device and fired at the forces, causing damage to several military vehicles. In the village of Bartaa, the soldiers arrested a wanted individual. Additionally, the forces located and confiscated a firearm.

Additionally, a report was received last night about hearing gunfire in the community of Mavo Dotan. After searches, bullet cases were found, and the IDF reported that they are investigating whether these cases are related to the incident. Furthermore, yesterday there were reports of gunfire heard in the communities of Bat Hefer and Gan Ner. During searches in the community of Bat Hefer, IDF forces discovered bullet cases. In Gan Ner, the forces conducted searches but found nothing.

The IDF reported that the arrested individuals, combat equipment, and the terror funds that were seized have been transferred for further handling by the security forces, and there are no casualties among our forces.
