Jerusalem, Netanya, Taibe, and Arad are not just cities in Israel. In preparation for the local government elections at the end of the month, the Population and Immigration Authority identified the Israelis for whom the city is an inseparable part.
So we chose a list of names representing cities and local authorities, in the north, in the center, and in the south, where people bear their name daily, and some of them even reside in a settlement that bears their name.
In Israel, there are 117 people named Jerusalem: 107 are women, and 10 are men. Among them, 20 reside in Jerusalem. There are 141 women named Herzliya, 4 of whom also reside in the city. There are 136 people named Netanya: 126 are women, and 10 are men. Among them, 10 also reside in the city.
There are 92 people named Taybeh: 91 are women, and one is a man. 4,898 people are named Eilat: 4,867 are women, and 31 are men. Among them, 49 reside in the city. There are 6 women named Tira, and none of them reside in the city itself.
There are 2,496 Israelis named Meitar: 1,953 are women, and 543 are men. Among them, 4 reside in the settlement. There are 200 Israelis named Savyon: 153 are women, and 47 are men. There are 3,681 Israelis with the name Shoham, including 2,273 women and 1,408 men. Among them, 6 reside in the city itself.
There are 6,026 Israelis named Shlomi, including 13 women and 6,013 men. Among them, 11 reside in the city itself. There are 207 Israelis named Arad, including 25 women and 182 men. None of them reside in the city of Arad.
