After a series of shooting attacks from the direction of the village of Jilbun towards Kibbutz Meirav in the Gilboa, the residents of the kibbutz decided last night to enter the village as a protest. This comes after eight residents of the kibbutz did the same less than two weeks ago following gunfire towards military vehicles in the settlement. Unlike the previous time, this action involved a larger and more organized effort, with the support of the kibbutz.

In a message sent to the residents, it was written: "The shooting was directed at a private residence. If he hadn't laid down on the floor, the homeowner would have paid with his life. We do not intend to continue sitting idly and waiting for a real disaster. The address – and also the bullets – are on the wall; the next casualty is only a matter of time."

As mentioned, about two weeks ago, there was gunfire towards a military patrol vehicle near the settlement of Meirav in the Manasheh area. According to their statements, the vehicle was hit, but there were no casualties in the incident. According to the IDF spokesperson's report, IDF forces launched a pursuit after the suspects.
