A wave of violence: one dead and 7 injured in a fight in Netanya

A violent fight took place between Eritrean citizens in Netanya, when one person was killed and 7 other people were injured in the incident, including one in a serious condition. MDA teams evacuated the injured to the hospital

8 people were injured in a fight that took place this evening (Motash) between foreign nationals on Herzl Street in Netanya, apparently Eritrean citizens. MDA medics and paramedics who were called to the scene provided medical treatment to the injured, including a 25-year-old man who was taken to Laniado Hospital in moderate condition and Suffered a penetrating injury.

It was later said that 6 of the injured were evacuated to the hospital by MDA teams, including a 30-year-old man in critical condition who was evacuated during CPR. He was pronounced dead at the hospital shortly after. Another injured person, described as a 30-year-old man, was evacuated in serious condition. It was also reported that A 25-year-old man is in moderate condition and 3 are slightly injured. The remaining two injured were evacuated independently.

Following the incident, the police said that four Eritrean citizens were arrested on suspicion of involvement in the fight. The circumstances of the incident are under investigation, as it is suspected that the background is a struggle between the supporters of the government in Eritrea and the opponents of the regime.
