The Erez Crossing will Open

Despite the turmoil, the exit of workers will be allowed at the Erez crossing

The coordinator of government activities in the territories announced that Palestinian workers will be allowed to enter Israeli territory from the Erez crossing. This approval comes after several tense days on the Gaza border, during which militants crossed into Israeli territory and ignited a military post

The government coordinator in the territories announced last night (Wednesday) that the exit of laborers from the Erez crossing will be allowed. It was also reported that the continuation of civilian policy will be permitted according to the situation assessment and security stability. On Friday, the crossing will be closed for the Sukkot holiday.

As reported on Tuesday by military sources, Palestinian militants violated the order in the Gaza Strip, breached the fence, crossed the border into Israeli territory, and ignited a military post.

Additionally, Palestinians launched incendiary balloons from the border area, resulting in an open field catching fire near the community of Kfar Gaza. The escalation in events along the Gaza border follows Israeli Air Force strikes on a Hamas position from the air, in response to a militant firing towards IDF forces from the position. In the days leading up to Yom Kippur, the IDF also struck multiple times in response to the launching of incendiary balloons from the Gaza Strip.
