After announcing that they would organize an event for the prayer for the peace of the country and democracy at Dizengoff Square, the protest headquarters decided today (Wednesday) to move the event to HaBima Square.
The announcement came in response to the organizers' statement: "After a discussion with the residents of the area, and after not receiving answers regarding how to prevent the dangerous provocation of Minister Ben Gvir," as stated by the protest headquarters. According to them, the event will take place starting from 18:30 and has the approval of the Tel Aviv-Yafo Municipality.
"We will not follow provocateurs"
From the organizers, it was conveyed: "During days when the Prime Minister and his ministers are trying to poison and incite public opinion, we stand alongside the residents in their struggle, choosing not to be drawn into extreme provocations."
According to them: "Tomorrow we will hold an event of hope and tolerance, uniting religious and secular, without divisions or barriers. The attempts by zealots and extremists will not succeed in tearing apart Israel. We invite the wider public, women and men, LGBTQ and straight, from all religious backgrounds, to come to the event for the sake of the integrity of democracy and the State of Israel."
