The IDF Attacked a Military Position

After the fast: the IDF attacked a military position in the Gaza Strip

After Yom Kippur, the IDF targeted a Hamas position from the air following an incident of disorder in the border area, where a terrorist fired towards IDF forces from the position's territory

(IDF spokesperson)

The IDF (Israel Defense Forces) targeted a military position of the Hamas terrorist organization in the northern Gaza Strip after a terrorist opened fire on IDF forces. The IDF carried out the attack using aerial assets after the terrorist fired on the forces in close proximity to the military position today (Monday) during a violent disturbance carried out by terrorists in the Merchav Karni area.

During the violent breach of order that occurred in the Merchav Karni area, sniper fire and means of dispersing demonstrations were also used against dozens of rioters in the area, as well as direct fire that was shot at a terrorist who shot live fire at the forces.

In addition, during the fast, IDF surveillance identified two suspects earlier attempting to cross the border from the southern Gaza Strip into Israeli territory. IDF soldiers apprehended the suspects, who were then transferred for further investigation by security forces.
