During the Sabbath, Arabs and activists entered the settlement of Otniel, armed with petrol and gas masks. They set a fire and attempted to ignite the youth tent, which is located close to the settlement houses.

Residents of the settlement reported, "During this Sabbath as well, anarchists and Arabs entered Otniel. They attempted to ignite the youth tent, vandalized it, and beat some of the residents. They were armed with petrol, lighters and cameras, and some even wore gas masks. The residents made sure to distance themselves from the troublemakers when the military and police arrived at the scene. A complaint was filed with the police, and they apprehended some of the rioters."

The residents continued to describe the harrowing event: "Two fire trucks worked for 3 hours to extinguish the fire ignited by the rioters, and it came as close as ten meters from the residents' homes. This terror, in which there are also Israeli accomplices, could end in bloodshed."

"They open pathways for terrorists (who have already infiltrated the settlement in the past), blindly setting fire to the fields and orchards surrounding the settlement, endangering the residents of Otniel and the security forces. Their blind hatred must be condemned unequivocally, both in words and actions by the security forces in the field."
