Amit Segal opposes the campaign for Amiram Ben Uliel and says that the current coalition, like the previous one with Ra'am, continues to support those convicted of murder.

"The defense of Amiram Ben Uliel disgusts me," Segal wrote. "There are hundreds of murderers in prison, none of them received the protection of a quarter of the coalition and the lawyer of none of them serves as a cabinet member today."

Segal went on to write: "His defense, under the guise of a legal examination of confessions, did not come in a vacuum, and it is added to mass letters in the coalition in favor of administrative detainees from the circles whose job it is to incite and ignite and burn and displace."

"After the previous coalition with Ra'am and the current one, it would be a refreshing innovation to have a coalition where you don't visit prisons or take pictures with those convicted of murder," concluded Segal.

Segal's tweet and the reactions against him

Segal's words aroused great anger among right-wing people and activists who attacked his words harshly. Former member of the Knesset Moshe Feiglin wrote to him: "Avigdor Feldman, who came to Amiram's defense after carefully checking the facts, has professional integrity, which in this tweet became clear that you do not and doubt you will ever have. I fought for Roman Zadorov, and as it was clear to me at the time that he was entitled , so it is all the more clear to me that Amiram did not commit the act. With this tweet, you became part of a blood plot - no less."

Another surfer wrote: "When your father was in prison, we did in the synagogue who blessed him and his friends that they would be released soon...we were not crooked like you."
