After Netanyahu's refusal; This is the minister who will come to the ceremony in memory of Rabin

Minister Ofir Akunis will represent the government at the state ceremony on Mount Herzl in memory of Yitzhak Rabin. Akunis will participate in place of Netanyahu, who decided to absent himself from the event this year as well

After Channel 12 reported that the office of the Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu informed the organizers of the state ceremony in memory of former Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin, z"l, that he does not intend to attend the event this year, a replacement was decided upon by the government.

After Netanyahu decided not to participate in the official ceremony on Mount Herzl, Minister of Science and Technology Ofir Akunis was asked by the government's secretariat to participate in the ceremony that will take place next month – and he agreed to the request.

Netanyahu has decided to be absent from the official ceremony on Mount Herzl, claiming that the event has become politicized and directed against him. He intends to participate in the special memorial session that will be held in the Knesset.
