The United States offers Saudi Arabia a defense agreement between the countries, in which the United States will undertake to protect Saudi Arabia from attack in exchange for normalization with Israel.

According to the reports, the Biden administration proposed to the Saudi authorities to sign a defense agreement similar to the existing agreement between the United States and countries such as South Korea and Japan, which states that the United States will undertake to defend the countries and fight by their side if they are attacked.

The two countries are conducting discussions on the terms of the mutual defense agreement, under which the US will undertake to provide military assistance to Saudi Arabia in any case where it is attacked in the Middle East or on its own territory, the agreement according to the reports is one of the main ambitions of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman as part of the normalization talks with Israel.
