The IDF's big shooting competition took place, these are the big winners.
After many months of training, exercises and preparatory work, the IDF's major sniper competition was held today with one goal, to determine who among the IDF soldiers and units are the most accurate snipers in the army.
29 units from all over the army gathered today at the Adam facility for a competition for which they have been preparing for two months, the competition took place in the facilities of the sniper section located in the camp, where the marksmanship skills of all combat units in the IDF were measured.
"The shooting championship is held every year," explains the commander of the sniper section, Major A. "Preparations for it begin almost two months in advance, the very competition makes the units train and push themselves to the limit. The fighters are building teams that will represent the units with respect, and that will hopefully bring victory."
The commander of the sniper section added and explained: "This year the competition focused on the operative aspect, and created an operational simulation simulating realistic challenges that the snipers will face"
During the competition, the fighters were tested in many types of shooting and sniping: locating targets in the field, solving operational puzzles, directing forces, simulating an ambush, and night shooting.
The big winners of the competition were the 101st battalion of the paratroopers, which scored the highest score in all the open divisions, the winners of the divisional commando competition were the Golani commando which overtook the other divisional commandos, in the special units the Maglan unit won and in the fighter battalions the 202nd battalion of the paratroopers won.
