Defense Minister Yoav Gallant hinted today (Thursday) in his remarks about the attack yesterday in Syria: "Even last night, we received additional proof that in the State of Israel, the roar of the planes is stronger than any other background noise."
Gallant: "The roar of the planes is stronger than any other background noise."
During the toast for the Jewish New Year at the Ministry of Defense, in the presence of the Prime Minister and the Chief of Staff Forum, Minister Gallant hinted at the attack on Syria: "Even last night, we received further proof that in the State of Israel, the roar of the planes is stronger than any other background noise. In the end, what matters are the actions, not the words. Unfortunately, we have a lot of work ahead of us in the areas for which we are responsible."
The Minister also referred to the conduct of the security bodies against the backdrop of events in Israel over the past year: "This organization is the one that leads Israel's security, along with other partners. What characterizes your work is the fact that security considerations – professionally viewing the security of the State of Israel and the welfare of its citizens – are more important than anything else. I commend the Chief of Staff for the way and manner in which he leads things."
