After facing considerable criticism from the settler community in recent times, Major General Yehuda Fox, the Central Command IDF Commander, today (Tuesday) held a festive toast to mark the holiday season of Tishrei. The event was attended by council leaders and representatives from the settlements, as well as senior commanders from the Central Command.

Fox addressed the audience during the event and said, "I want to thank all of you for your significant work. Collaboration between organizations, units, and settlements is the key to dealing with the challenges of the Central Command facing terrorism."

The head of the Karnei Shomron Regional Council, Yigal Lahav, also spoke and gave many compliments to the Central Command. He said, "I thank, on behalf of all the local authorities, the IDF for the many efforts it makes day and night to ensure the security of our residents. The IDF has full support from the settlements in Judea and Samaria; without you, we have no right to exist. We will continue to work together this year and hope for a quieter and safer year."
